Wow....had some creazy idea..about taking my own made tortillas and had them create asome tacos....these guys are open to make you happy..see this pics

Ordered Shredded chicken chimichangas fried. Burritos were not fried, and were very soggy to the point of falling apart. Chicken was not shredded, but large chunks of dry meat. No cheese sauce or sour cream as listed on the menu. Order delivered, so no chance to address poor quality. Will not order again.

Family carried me to eat. Good hot food. Something different.

Place is great. The chorizo is good, and the horchata is on point. Try the burrito ruleta if you're indecisive.

Had the shrimp taco salad it was delicious. Friendly atmosphere and good service..

Food was on point. I ordered the shrimp with rice and my wife had the steak. Both were cooked well and had favor. Took about 5 minutes after we was seated for the waiter to take our drink order, but for a Friday evening our food came out in no time.

Had the Chipotle enchiladas and fried tilapia both were excellent

We got the Parillada for two and it was enough food for at least 3 people! And a side of guacamole, possible the best restaurant guac I’ve ever had. The parillada was a mixture of beef, chicken, shrimp, and carnitas with sautéed mushrooms, peppers and onions. It was everything we could want, with plenty for dinner for both of us.

David and his staff are always so nice and friendly. Wonderful food.

This restaurant is consistently good food. If you are looking for 5 stars this is not place; but as a local town restaurant, it is very enjoyable. The margaritas are delicious!

I am so excited that I have found a Mexican restaurant that is the best!When we walked in the door we were Seated at a table..Our drink orders were taken and menus given and chips and salsa were at the table for us to enjoy. Our orders were taken and we were enjoying our drinks and chips and salsa. Our meal then came very quickly and we were pleased that the plates were hot. The food were fantastic and the server cam back to give us more drinks and to see if there was anything we needed . Very pleased with everything Thank you

Very friendly service. Definite authentic food. Had the fish tacos. Probably better to get fish tacos closer to the ocean. My wife had the spinach/chicken quesadilla. It was delicious as was the accompanying rice. Would certainly stop by again next time in the area.

The food is great and the ambiance is very authentic Mexican. This restaurant is conveniently located off of I95 so perfect stop for quick bite while traveling. The service is very friendly, efficient and fast. My only complaint is that the food is oversalted to my taste. Everything else was perfect.

I definitely was not happy . I ordered 2 San Jose Mexican steak meal, 2. It is a 10 oz ribery covered with peppers n onions. Both meals came with a paper thin (I mean that)steaks maybe 40z tops. 14.95, well I called to ask them if it was right meal n apparently so. Very disappointed .very

5-Star lunch, 3-star dinner as my steak was cold. They warmed it, but I hardly got an excuse let alone a compensation. A free coffee or something would have been good in this case.

Pickup orders at curbside and orders are always ready no waiting more than 5 minutes.

If you can only eat at one place in R Rapids it has to be here. I'm traveling for work; used to live on border of Mexico in Southern Cali and Spanish food is my favorite. Guacamole was amazing; big salad w/ grilled chicken was high quality. Thankful this place is here. Will be back.

My sisters and I enjoyed our lunch. The service was excellent. The mango margarita was also excellent. The food was good but there weren't enough shrimp on the shrimp taco. I would go back.

Confusing. This sign is on their lot bit it’s a Mexican restaurant. Where’s the steakhouse? Googling ‘steakhouse’ returns no result around here. Put up a sign for your restaurant - or let me know where the steakhouse is.

We are there and the food was very good. Our waiter was very polite and on time with checking on us. We will visit again when we we are in the area.

San Jose is the best Mexican food you gonna find in Roanoke Rapids and surrounding areas. The food is always delicious. I would always come to San Jose when I would come visit my family but now that I live here I’m beginning to be a regular customer. If you have never tried it they will not disappoint. It’s the BEST! The staff is always on point, fast, and friendly.

Delicious. I enjoyed my lunch and it's decorated beautifully. When we walked in we could smell how clean it was and knew right away the food would be wonderful.

Really good Mexican especially for a place in a strip mall. Don't let the outside appearance fool you. The food was good and the portion sizes were good for the price. Our waiter appeared to be having an off night, but that happens to almost everyone.

We ordered mixed fajitas and grilled jumbo shrimps and it were awesome! AWESOME! Highly recommended! Size of the dishes are so big!Also, check bathrooms - they have so beautiful sinks!

Driving back to MD from vaca in the keys and found some great reviews about San Jose Mexican Restaurant and we thought why not. Service was great and you must get the beef, shrimp and chicken bowl. Fantastic and it's enough for two. Glad we stopped and will keep on our radar for our future road trips.
